LAWYER BIO. Vivian I. Zumas was born on October 29, 1975 in Bethlehem, Pennsylvania. She is a first generation American and proud of her Greek heritage. Her father instilled in her his hard work ethic and his drive to be a success in everything that you do. She earned her B.A. in Politics and Philosophy in 1997 from De Sales University in Center Valley, Pennsylvania. She earned her J.D. from Widener University School of Law in 2000 located in Wilmington, Delaware and she has been a member of both the Pennsylvania and New Jersey State Bars since 2000.

While in law school Vivian excelled at trial advocacy and was asked to join the Moe Levine Trial Advocacy Honor’s Society. It was in that society that she knew she wanted to be a trial lawyer. She had a natural ability to advocate for her clients and fight for justice no matter how challenging that fight would prove to be. After law school she clerked for the Honorable G. Thomas Bowen of the Superior Court in New Jersey and upon completion of her clerkship she was invited to join the Attorney General’s Office of New Jersey, known as New Jersey’s largest law firm, located in Trenton, New Jersey.

While a Deputy Attorney General, she represented the Department of Corrections, Department of Human Services and various other State agencies in employment and labor issues. She handled matters which ultimately saved the state of New Jersey millions of dollars.

In 2006, Vivian returned to Bethlehem, Pennsylvania and had the privilege to serve for Northampton County District Attorney, John M. Morganelli. As an Assistant District Attorney she served in the drug and domestic violence divisions of that office. She had opportunities to try cases and successfully prosecuted individuals who were charged with crimes.

Today, Vivian has her own law office in downtown Bethlehem where she defends people charged with crimes. She uses all of the skills she learned throughout her legal career to challenge any evidence and protect an individual’s constitutional rights. Vivian handles all family cases involving divorce, custody, support issues and protections from abuse matters. She also represents people involved in car accidents, work accidents and other civil matters which include real estate and business issues.

Vivian is involved in many organizations throughout the Lehigh Valley. She enjoys giving back to the community that has provided for her throughout the years. She is a very generous individual and has distinguished herself in the community through professional, volunteer, and philanthropic work resulting in advancing the associations and people that come into contact with her. Most recently, Vivian has been appointed to serve on the Hanover Township Planning Commission.
